Eiffage Génie Civil and project owner Société des Grands Projets have officially taken delivery of two new EPBMs that will excavate a major section of the Grand Paris Express Line 15 East extension. The machines were accepted at Herrenknecht’s manufacturing facility in Germany on 17 July.

HS2 has reached another major construction milestone with the structural completion of the 700m-long Burton Green tunnel in Warwickshire, after engineers installed the final roof segment on the cut-and-cover structure.

The latest breakthrough marks completion of U2/17-21 consortium’s two tunnel drives.
